Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! We are thrilled about what’s in store for 2023, and so very thankful to you for supporting our business and cheering us on as we prepare to open our new store SOON.

Since we started this journey, we have been blessed with many new followers. We would like to take a moment to tell you a little bit about ourselves and our vision.

Davis Porch & Patio is a family-owned and operated small business. I was born and raised in Parker County, meanwhile my husband Robert got here as quick as he could! We have three children that we couldn’t be more proud of - Colton, Cameron, & Sydney.

With over 30 years of experience in playground construction and manufacturing, Robert Davis began his career as a CPA. After 15 years in accounting and finance, he decided to start his own business in recreational construction.

My life’s work consists of 30 years in healthcare, 22 of which I served in a rewarding career as a registered nurse.

So why did we decide to start an outdoor living business!? It all started with a chair! I love the look of Adirondack chairs. I see them and point them out EVERYWHERE WE GO. With his background of building playground equipment, naturally Robert’s response was “I can build that”. And he did. The first few prototypes didn’t pass quality control (me 😉), but it wasn’t long until he had designed what I believe is the perfect outdoor Adirondack Chair.

Now, if you had asked me then (2021) if I was going to retire from healthcare and open a true, brick and mortar outdoor furniture store- I would have laughed out loud. Fast forward to May 2022!!

I just kept passing the building at 501 N Main in Weatherford, day after day, on my commute to work. And guess what? The building was for sale! Robert and I talked about it here and there, brushing it off as “only if” and “someday”.

We couldn’t stop thinking about it. We couldn’t stop talking about it, brainstorming day and night. With the encouragement and support of friends and family, we took a leap of faith. 🙏 We partnered with our friends at Masked Rider Capital, and since August of 2022 we have poured our heart and soul into giving this old building a much needed facelift. In the meantime, we have sought out some of the best quality outdoor furnishings and accessories on the market to go along with our Adirondack chairs and poly furniture.

Our plan was to open in Fall of 2022, but as the saying goes “the best laid plans”….  So bring on 2023!

We are proud to call Parker County home and even more proud to build our dream business in Weatherford, Texas! Robert and I love everything about being outdoors and look forward to sharing that with our customers.
